What TipSlice is
TipSlice is a set of free calculators for estimating a tip, splitting a restaurant bill, comparing tip percentages, and working out sales tax. You use them in a web browser. There is no account to create and no app to install.
The tools are for personal convenience. They are not financial, tax, or legal advice. Tipping customs and sales-tax rates vary. Always check the receipt before you pay.
Where the math runs
The math runs in your browser. Bill amounts, tip rates, party size, and tax rates are calculated with JavaScript on your device. TipSlice does not upload those numbers to a server to store or process them, and it does not keep a user database.
If you use Copy split summary or Share, the link you send can include the amounts you entered so someone else can open the same split. That choice is optional. The privacy policy describes it.
How the site is supported
TipSlice is free to use. The site is supported by ads. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve those ads. The privacy policy explains the advertising cookies and how to opt out of personalized ads.
