What TipSlice is
TipSlice provides free, browser-based tools for estimating tips, splitting bills, comparing tip percentages, and calculating sales tax. The tools are for personal convenience. They are not a bank, payment processor, accounting service, or professional advisor.
As-is service
The site and calculators are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. Math is rounded to the nearest cent using simple rules described on each page. Always verify totals against your receipt, POS screen, or delivery app before you pay.
Not financial, tax, or legal advice
Nothing on TipSlice is financial, tax, legal, or employment advice. Sales-tax rates, service charges, and automatic gratuities depend on your location, merchant, and local rules. TipSlice does not look up live tax rates or guarantees that a suggested tip matches restaurant policy. When in doubt, ask the establishment or a qualified professional.
Tipping customs vary
Suggested tip ranges on TipSlice reflect common practices in some regions (especially the United States) and are educational only. Expectations differ by country, venue type, and situation. You choose what to tip. TipSlice is not responsible for social or contractual outcomes of tip decisions.
Acceptable use
Use the site lawfully. Do not attempt to disrupt hosting, scrape in a way that harms the service, inject malicious code, or misuse any advertising or measurement features. Automated access that ignores robots.txt or overloads the host may be blocked.
Intellectual property
TipSlice branding, original page copy, and site design are reserved by the project operators except where otherwise noted. You may use the calculators for personal, non-commercial calculation. Do not copy the site wholesale or present it as your own product.
Third-party ads and links
If advertising is enabled, ads are served by third parties under their own terms. External links (including policy pages from Google or others) are provided for convenience; TipSlice does not control those sites.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TipSlice and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from use of or inability to use the site or calculators—including reliance on a calculated tip, tax, or split that differs from what you owed.
Changes
We may update these terms when the site changes. The “Last updated” date will reflect revisions. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
